From the North & South: Take the M6 motorway until you reach the Penrith Junction (junction 41). Take the A66 towards Keswick and West Cumbria. After 14 miles you will arrive at a large roundabout with Keswick to your left. Turn right onto the A591 (shown below) and follow this road for roughly 7 miles. Go past the village of Bassenthwaite and over a small steep humpback bridge. After three bends Kiln Hill Barn is located on your left opposite an alternative route to Bassenthwaite village and before you reach the Castle Inn (and turning to Caldbeck).
